SIERRA TIATIA

Sierra Tiatia is an artist of many mediums, but first and foremost a dancer. She grew up in Brisbane, California as a student in the Brisbane Dance Workshop, with director Camille Oliver-Salmon and teachers Esme Kundanis Grow and Laura Marsh, where she first fell in love with dancing and performing. As a teenager she was a student in the Grrrl Brigade at Dance Mission Theater, where she got the opportunity to learn from Krissy Keefer, Fredrika Keefer, Bianca Mendoza, Ramon Ramos Alayo, and Dominique Hargrove, among other incredible artists. At that time, she became increasingly aware of what it means to be a young, brown, and queer woman in the world. She was encouraged by the Grrrl Brigade to bring her experience to the studio and stage. After graduating high school, Sierra began her professional career as a company dancer in the Dance Brigade with creative director Krissy Keefer, where she has performed in Match Girrl (2024 and 2026), the D.I.R.T. Festival (2024), and A Woman’s Song for Peace West Coast Tour (2025). Through these works, she has solidified her affinity for dance as a tool for social change. Alongside performing, Sierra teaches youth dance classes at the Brisbane Dance Workshop and Dance Mission Theater. Still a college student, she is always in pursuit of new experiences. There will be so much more to come.
