Tubong to Living Ancestors transforms the stage into an immersive sacred space, to honor seventeen diasporic Pan Asian American legacy artists and cultural leaders. Alleluia Panis Dance Theatre, John Calloway & the Kulintang Jazz Art Ensemble, and select legacy artists, join together to perform new works as well as restaged excerpts from 1990’s, “Cycles: Timeless Rituals to Ancient Icons” and “Diwata.” The event explores the intersection of indigenous ritual and contemporary performance to pay homage to our living legacy artists.

Dance Mission Theater is located on the second floor and is accessible by both an elevator and stairs. If you need to sit in the wheelchair / limited mobility seating (unable to climb stairs) or in the front row due to limited site / hearing, please choose “ADA seating” at checkout. If you have other access needs, please email info@dancemission.com.
NOTE: Parking around Dance Mission can be difficult. We recommend taking public trasportation. Dance Mission is located directly across the street from the 24/Mission BART station and is on MUNI Lines 12, 14, 49, 48, and 67. If you do decide to drive, give yourself extra time to find street parking. The closest parking lot is at 21/Bartlett Streets, about a 5 min walk to the theater.
