Gather with Weaving Spirits for a day of food and learning about the intersections of Women, Indigiqueers, and fire.
🔥 We invite you to join us for a screening of Women They Are Carrying Fire – Pa’asik`tavaansas Kuniktáamvunatih, followed by a panel of California Natives sharing their experiences as mothers and femmes expanding what it means to be fire tenders and land stewards.
We will transition to a workshop about cyber security and how we can protect ourselves and communities, led by Sam Chavez. We will discuss the evolution of media, the Big Tech landscape, and offer practical information to improve your security on and offline.

We take COVID safety seriously for the elders and immunocompromised in our community. Masks will be provided and required while not eating. We will do our best to have a separate eating space, and a well ventilated-room.
The space is wheelchair accessible.

Weaving Spirits Festival of Two-Spirit Performance convenes local and national Native American and international Indigenous artists through commissioning works and a range of community events.
Our current theme responds to ecological and societal wildfires. Fire allows us to imagine what needs to be ignited, cleansed, and turned into ashes.
