Workshop Description:
Learn the ancient art of Japanese Taiko drumming. The introductory taiko class will cover basic fundamental skills and history which will prepare students to advance to the next level of classes.
Artist Bio:
Bruce “Mui” Ghent has 30+ years of training as a performing artist. He has worked with preeminent choreographers such as Kennedy Center Honoree, Bill T. Jones, and NEA Heritage Fellow, Grandmaster Seiichi Tanaka. He also has 20+ years of experience as an arts educator with extensive residencies internationally.
