$230 registration fee ($4 off at the door for Aimee’s 6:30pm on-going Tuesday drop-in class  for workshop participants!)

Filming + Costumes
We will film a video that will go public and will be yours to keep, cherish, and show off! PLEASE NOTE: costumes are NOT included in the workshop fee. However, students will be able to pull costumes from home, share with each other, or make inexspensive purchases for items.

Workshop Description:
Let’s get deeper with our dancing with this Femme Dancehall Video Workshop! We will to train our foundational steps (whinning, jiggles, twerks in ALL the positions with more breakdown), learn the best new and old Dancehall steps by our favorite dancers (i.e. Mama Blazzaz, Raquel Team Cautiion, Happy Feet, Kimiko Versatile and more) train our flexibility & tricks, AND learn an absolutely fabulous routine to Spice’s Crop Top and Busy Signals Win’ing Sum’n, that will be just as much fun to learn as it is to perform and enthrall our audiences with 🙂

What is Dancehall?
Dancehall is a culture born in the streets of Jamaica and encompasses music, dance, language, and fashion. The dances generally reflect what is happening the in the streets at the moment.

Artist Bio:
Aimee Rose was born and raised in San Francisco. Her journey into Dancehall began in 2013 and since then she has opened shows for well known dancehall and reggae artists, choreographed for music videos, hosted workshops with top Jamaican and international Dancehall dancers, traveled extensively teaching, and hosts bi-annual Dancehall trips to Jamaica.
