This workshop will illuminate the intersection of dance and social justice, while acknowledging the power of dance to heal and transform communities, to fight oppressive systems, inspire social change and ultimately uplift beauty and joy. Come prepared to dance in modern and hip hop styles, create rhythms through West African drumming, create community through dance/theater exercises, and co-create dances that speak from your own experiences and passions.
