$200 for all 8 weeks ($25/class – a $40 savings) or $30 drop-in.

Aimee Rose (@tropicalitrapsetta / @tropicalidancehall) and Lauren Hammond (@mysticalii) are teaming up to teach you the fundamentals of Dancehall Queen FABULOUSNESS!!!

NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED & ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN and if you have some previous foundations, there is definitely space for advancement and challenges.

In this 8 week course learn/train:
– Headtops (headstands)
– Shoulder stands
– Handstands
– Splits
– Backbends
– General Bruk Out Tricks – Rolls/cart wheels/other floor tricks
– Wines
– Jiggles
– Shakes

Aimee Rose was born and raised in San Francisco and has a deep passion for dance. Her journey into Dancehall began in 2013 and since then she has opened shows for well known dancehall and reggae artists, choreographed for several music videos for local Bay Area artists as well as in Kingston, JA. She has hosted workshops with top Jamaican and international Dancehall Dancers and traveled extensively teaching herself. Aimee also hosts a bi-annual Dancehall trip to Jamaica where students are exposed to the arts, culture, wild nature and PARTIES of Jamaica. Aimee teaches on-going weekly classes around the San Francisco Bay Area – Including a fun Femme style Dancehall class every Tuesday at 6:30pm at Dance Mission Theater.

Lauren Hammond has been dancing dancehall with Aimee since 2015. She has been a certified yoga teacher since 2016. She has been to Jamaica to study dancehall. With her dance and yoga background, Lauren has found a way to express them both through dancehall queen style where flexibility, dance, inversions and playfulness come together.
