Paseo Artistico presents “History Matters in the Mission”

12-6pm along 24th Street from York to Mission!

Free! Performances are outdoors except where noted. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required for indoor performances.  (Any schedule changes due to rain will be noted here. As of Saturday, 10/23 at 9:30am, the performance is still scheduled to go on as planed!)

“History Matters in the Mission” (HMM) documents important cultural, artistic and political events in the Mission District based on the archival material from 50 years of El Tecolote Bilingual Newspaper archives and interviews with local legendary artists and activists including Yolanda Lopez, Michael Rios, Juan Gonzales, Joan Holden and Carlos Barón. Performances are interpretations and reenactments of important events in The Mission during the 1970’s to today. Created by Paul Flores and featuring Vanessa Sanchez, Pedro Gomez, Jonathan Youtt, Josue Rojas, Shamsher Virk and others.  MASKS REQUIRED.
