Dance Brigade presents an excerpt of their 2014 hit, Hemorrhage, a work that examines the intersection of “new SF ” and world politics, and the connection between global warming, racism and the continued attack on the rights of women, while also remembering that even at a time when grief sits heavy in the lungs — from ventilators, to smoke inhalation, to cops on necks — there is hope. Dance Brigade is known for its use of drumming, text, explosive modern dance, and content-driven art.
Please note that if you want to see the 30 minute piece in the flesh, masks must be worn and physical distancing practices must be followed.
The work will also be live streamed on Dance Brigade’s Dance Mission’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
Funded in part by the California Arts Council and Grants for the Arts.
